Last night I attended the first date in a program being offered by Edgeware Creative Enterpreneurship (difficult word to spell). The course is over the next 12 weeks and is called Build your Business. The Edgeware motto is:
Make Money, Have Fun, Change the World.
Great motto. Michael Doneman runs Edgeware and he has a background in creative arts. He was great to watch as a trainer too. He knows his stuff.
My mind is spinning as I process all the ideas and information shared by Michael. Here are a couple of things that stayed with me:
- That the whole is greater than the sum or all its parts. Meaning the colloboration between people is more powerful than each person's individual effort put together.
- If you want to have your own business, you must make a complete commitment to it; and once you do you will find opportunities will open up.
- That successful enterpreneurs are in it for more than the money; their motivations are in what they do; they are not gamblers or risk takers.
- Michael quoted one of his guest speakers who believes it is important to bring other people into your business to do the things you are not good at.
I am sure to process more of this as I proceed through the course.
